Ralph is not a typical raccoon; he's neither sneaky nor rude. In school Ralph fails at his lessons (burping, throwing food). However, he wins a competition by using his best means--manners. Young readers will enjoy the twist on behavioral expectations while their parents will be reassured that good manners win in the end. Comically detailed mixed-media illustrations follow the antics.

When young Bob discovers a squirrel named Erroll in a package of nuts, he's excited to have a new friend. After some household disasters, Bob is forced to accept that Erroll's place is in the wild. There's some humor in this fish-out-of-water tale, but the busy illustrations occasionally make the action difficult to follow.

Weasel is sneaky, nasty, and very rich. When he throws a party and no one shows up, he demands an explanation. Rabbit, Rat, Hedgehog, and Shrew tell him just how mean he's been, and Weasel changes his ways (mostly). The often-distractingly busy illustrations drive this change-of-heart story, providing plenty of cheeky humor from end page to end page.
